TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taipei Dome, the capital city's new sports and entertainment venue, conducted a closed-door test on Wednesday (Nov. 15) to gather feedback for further improvements and to ensure readiness for an upcoming test match scheduled for Saturday.
The Dome is set to host a test match for 13,000 fans this Saturday, marking a significant step in its operational readiness.
Taipei Deputy Mayor Lee Shu-chuan participated in the trial event and shared his experience on his Facebook page. He posted a video from the test alongside an archival clip from 1991, showing Former Premier Hau Pei-tsun at the national baseball championship.
The older footage highlights the crowd's chants for a domed stadium, a wish that has now come to fruition.
In his post, Lee encouraged the public to attend Saturday's match, advising attendees to take the MRT for convenience over driving.
