TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Central Weather Administration (CWA) predicted on Sunday (Nov. 26) persistent rainfall along Keelung's north coast, in the Greater Taipei area, and in Yilan due to the influence of the northeast monsoon.

A heavy rain advisory was issued at 4:30 a.m., forecasting localized heavy rain for parts of Keelung City and New Taipei City. However, as the day progresses, the chances of rain are expected to decrease in regions other than the northeast.

Meanwhile, conditions south of Hsinchu are predicted to remain mostly cloudy to sunny throughout the day.

Significant temperature variations are expected, with morning and evening lows ranging from 16 to 19 degrees Celsius. Daytime highs are anticipated to reach 21 to 24 degrees in the north and in Yilan. In other areas, highs of 26 to 28 degrees are expected.

The weather is forecast to shift starting Monday, with a drier northeast monsoon bringing cooler, though weaker, air. The western part of the country is set to see clearer skies, while brief rain in the east is anticipated to halt. Stable and sunny conditions are predicted across the region.

From Monday to Wednesday, daylight hours should be comfortable under the sunshine, despite substantial temperature differences between day and night.

The low temperatures across the plains of Taiwan could fall to around 12 degrees, with Taipei experiencing lows near 16 degrees. Residents are advised to keep warm during this period.
