TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Kaohsiung City Government announced the return of the beloved yellow rubber ducks to the southern Taiwan port city after a decade away last Sunday (Jan. 21). The display will feature two rubber ducks this year.
Collaborating with the Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai revealed the "2024 Kaohsiung Wonderland Winter Fair" will take place at Kaohsiung Port Pier 17 from Jan. 27 to Feb. 25.
In a press briefing, Chen stated, "Among the six municipalities, we're the only one to host such an event. It is the most picturesque spot to appreciate Kaohsiung Port."
The fair features various attractions, where visitors can enjoy inflatable installations, interactive art displays, circus acts, and children's theater performances, among other entertainment options.
The yellow rubber duck first toured Taiwan in 2013, with its inaugural stop at Kaohsiung's Guangrong Pier, and attracted almost 3.9 million tourists to visit the city.
