MIAMI (TVBS News) — Anthony Rodriguez, Vice Chairman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, praised Taiwan's hospitality and cuisine on Monday (March 4) while sharing his visit to the island in 2019 during the 33rd annual Asian Cultural Festival in Florida, USA.

The festival held from March 2 to 3, 2024, in Miami-Dade County, Florida, saw Taiwan highlighting its traditional culture.

Elements such as electronic music, puppet theater, and drama stages were used to showcase the nation's heritage.

At the event, Taiwan's representative office in Miami set up a booth that offered calligraphy scrolls and high-mountain tea to visitors, promoting Taiwan's culture.

Chou Chi-yu, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Miami's Director-General, expressed gratitude to the festival's organizers. He emphasized their dedication to helping South Florida's residents familiarize themselves with the culture of Asian ethnic groups.

Rodriguez encouraged local residents to explore Taiwan's vibrant cultural scene during his address at the festival. Chou echoed these sentiments by inviting attendees to stop by the booth and savor Taiwanese tea while experiencing Taiwan's culture first-hand.
