TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's tennis player Chan Hao-ching (詹皓晴) confirmed on Thursday (June 27) she will team up with her sister Chan Yung-jan (詹詠然) to compete in the Paris Olympics. This marks their third consecutive Olympic appearance.

The tennis matches for the 2024 Paris Olympics will be held at Stade Roland-Garros, the main court of the French Open. The tournament will include 32 draws for both men's and women's doubles. The selection process is based on the world rankings as of the week following the conclusion of the French Open on June 10. Players ranked in the top 10 can choose to partner with another player from the same country who is ranked within the top 300 in singles or doubles.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) recently confirmed that Taiwanese tennis star Hsieh Su-wei (謝淑薇), ranked second in women's doubles, has qualified for the Paris Olympics. Hsieh has chosen 20-year-old Tsao Chia-yi (曹家宜) as her partner, with the aim of winning Taiwan's first-ever Olympic medal in tennis.

The Chinese Taipei Tennis Association (CTTA, 中華民國網球協會) has also confirmed the participation of the "Chan sisters" in the Paris Olympics. CTTA Secretary-General Jimmy Wang (王凌華) has conveyed this news to the players. Once the ITF finalizes the complete list, the CTTA will confirm if more Taiwanese players will have the opportunity to compete in the Olympics.
