TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan People's Party (TPP, 民眾黨) Legislator Huang Shan-shan (民眾黨立委黃珊珊) clarified on Tuesday (Sept. 3) that Chairman Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) had never claimed to be unaware of the Core Pacific City development project (京華城案). She explained that he had received complaints and handled them according to procedure.

Ko previously stated he first learned about the project's 840% floor area ratio when the media began reporting on it between March and April this year. His comments sparked controversy, with critics questioning the accountability of politicians who claim ignorance.

Huang emphasized Ko's intention was to delegate the matter to relevant departments without interfering with the Urban Planning Commission (都委會). She criticized representatives for deliberately spreading misinformation.

Huang also highlighted the First Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market (第一魚果市場) budget issues, stating that bids had failed and the council demanded swift action from the city government.

Huang condemned both the Kuomintang and Democratic Progressive Party for using partial information to create false narratives, urging them to present evidence if they wish to clarify matters.

The unfolding political drama suggests that further developments and clarifications are expected in the coming days. Observers will be keenly watching how the involved parties address these serious accusations.
