TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The San Francisco Giants (巨人隊) hosted their first Taiwan Heritage Night (台灣之夜) on Tuesday (Sept. 3), featuring NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) on the pitcher's mound.

Huang, who previously threw the first pitch for the Oakland Athletics in May, returned to Oracle Park to celebrate Taiwanese culture.

Huang arrived with his wife, Lori Huang, and visited the "Taiwan Fan Zone" (台灣球迷區) to sign autographs and take photos. Before heading to warm up, he humorously told the crowd, "I'm going to pratice. I'll be right back!" After his pitching practice, Huang expressed his joy to the media stating his love for Taiwan Heritage Night.

Thousands of fans watched as Huang's pitch landed squarely in the catcher's mitt. Spectators held signs spelling out "JENSEN" and banners reading "Jensen Huang, Taiwan loves you".

Wearing a Giants jersey with the number 93, Huang applauded the Taiwanese performers and left the field to a roaring crowd after his pitch.

Huang's connection to Taiwanese baseball has grown this year, having also thrown the first pitch for the Uni-President Lions in Taipei in June.

EVA Air (長榮航空公司), the Tourism Bureau (觀光署), and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco (駐舊金山辦事處) organized the event, and the evening featured performances by the California Line Dance Association of America and the National Taiwan University Alumni Chorus in Northern California, who sang the U.S. national anthem.
