TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Minister of Digital Affairs Huang Yen-nun (黃彥男) stated on Monday (Oct. 7) that the full version of the "Online Scam Reporting and Inquiry Network" (網路詐騙通報查詢網) will launch in December. The app, which has already been downloaded by about 2,000 users, cost approximately NT$13 million to develop.

Legislators have expressed concern over the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA, 數位發展部) initiative, initially slated for release at the end of August, but it has yet to officially go live. Huang noted that the current public version is in beta, and ongoing adjustments are in progress. He also mentioned efforts to ensure reports can be handled on holidays, with coordination among various ministries underway.

A MODA official explained that the website is already searchable on Google, although it appears further down the results page. Plans are in place to optimize its search visibility. According to the department's budget, next year's allocation for the platform is set at NT$58.063 million.

Huang reiterated the commitment to refining the beta version, emphasizing the goal of processing public reports even on weekends. As the December launch approaches, officials continue to fine-tune the platform, addressing both technical and operational challenges.
