TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI, 中華民國全國工業總會) urged the government on Monday (Nov. 11) to maintain stable electricity prices, emphasizing the necessity of clean and affordable power for industrial competitiveness. Earlier that day, the CNFI engaged with Minister of Economic Affairs J.W. Kuo (郭智輝) to discuss new energy and nuclear power initiatives.

The CNFI celebrated its 78th Industrial Festival at the Grand Hotel in Taipei, where Pan Chun-jung (潘俊榮), the CNFI chairman, delivered a keynote address. The event saw the attendance of Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴), Minister of Economic Affairs J.W. Kuo, and Minister of the Interior Liu Shyh-fang (劉世芳).

Pan noted President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) could not attend the event but plans to meet with CNFI representatives on Wednesday to welcome suggestions from industry leaders. He emphasized the importance of sufficient water and electricity supply, expressing confidence in J.W. Kuo's ability to meet business needs and promote new nuclear energy to reduce electricity costs.

Pan also revealed Jensen Huang (黃仁勳), NVIDIA's founder, has expressed confidence in Taiwan's land and technological talent, making it NVIDIA's top investment choice. The CNFI intends to host a world-class business leaders conference by the end of this year or next, inviting international AI experts like Jensen Huang to Taiwan to collaborate with the government on industrial transformation and upgrading.
