ZHUHAI (TVBS News) — The China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China, 中國珠海航展) kicked off on Tuesday (Nov. 12), showcasing over 30% new weaponry, marking the most extensive display in its history. Analysts consider the Airshow China in Zhuhai, Guangdong, a crucial platform for demonstrating China's aviation prowess and air force equipment.

The event, which will focus on foreign trade exchanges for the first three days, invites global buyers to explore and purchase military equipment. This initiative allows Chinese military technology to reach international customers. The exhibition will open to the public from Nov. 15-17, although tickets are scarce. Attendees can expect dynamic outdoor and indoor displays featuring a wide array of new weaponry.

Among the highlights is the Falcon 70 medium-range air defense missile system, which combines radar-guided and infrared missiles. This system offers stationary air defense capabilities and can move with troops to provide protection on the go.

Yang Guang (陽光), a staff member at the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST, 上海航天技術研究院), noted the system's robust combat abilities, "Especially when the radar doesn't work well in a strong electromagnetic suppression environment, it still has a strong combat capability."

The exhibition also features the H-6K bomber, an improved design by China. According to related media reports, it is capable of long-range precision strikes on land and sea targets and provides close air support. The Airshow China aims to align Chinese weaponry with global arms sales while showcasing the nation's latest military strength.
