TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Moisture is decreasing across Taiwan on Wednesday (Nov. 13) with the weakening of the northeast monsoon and the departure of Typhoon Toraji (桔梗), according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA, 中央氣象署).

However, brief showers are expected in regions north of Taoyuan (桃園), the eastern half, Hengchun Peninsula (恆春半島), Kinmen (金門), and Matsu (馬祖), while other areas, including Penghu (澎湖), will experience mostly cloudy weather, the CWA stated.

Temperatures across Taiwan, Penghu, and Kinmen will range from 22-24 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs reaching 26°C in Keelung's (基隆) northern coast, Yilan (宜蘭), Penghu, and Kinmen. Other regions may see temperatures rise to between 28-31°C. In Matsu, temperatures will remain cooler, fluctuating between 19-22°C throughout the day.

WeatherRisk (天氣風險), a meteorological Facebook page, highlighted that Typhoon Usagi (天兔) is located east of the Philippines, ushering in warmer weather for Taiwan. They stated that this period will see mostly sunny to cloudy conditions across the region, with only sporadic rain along the eastern coast, Temperatures peak tomorrow, with localized highs exceeding 30°C from north to south.

WeatherRisk further explained that Typhoon Usagi is expected to approach the Philippines' Luzon Island on Friday before turning north into the Bashi Channel, potentially moving northward off Taiwan's eastern coast. Residents should stay informed about weather updates as conditions may change.
