TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Delta Electronics (台達電) hosted an official side event at COP29 on Thursday (Nov. 21), where they shared energy-saving solutions for the high electricity demands of the AI era. This marks Delta Electronics' 17th consecutive year participating in the COP conferences and their 13th time presenting climate change strategies and technological solutions in the Blue Zone.

Delta Electronics introduced power and cooling solutions for AI energy consumption at the conference for the first time, showcasing liquid cooling technology that helps clients achieve a PUE of approximately 1.1 in green data centers. The company emphasized the dual nature of the AI era, which brings both smart convenience and increased electricity demands. According to an International Energy Agency report, global data centers consume 340 TWh, with the demand for device capacity to double by 2030.

Liu Cheng-yin (劉正寅), Delta's ESG head for the Americas, represented the company to share comprehensive power and cooling solutions for AI data centers, enhancing overall energy performance from the grid to the chip. Delta Electronics also collaborated with the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of British Architects to explore energy-saving solutions in architecture. They aim to achieve net-zero and resilient green buildings through technology, policy, labeling, and innovation.

Delta Electronics continues to pave the way for sustainable solutions in the AI era, highlighting the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing global energy challenges.
