TAIPEI (TVBS News) — National Cheng Kung University (NCKU, 成功大學) topped the list of public universities most favored by businesses in Taiwan, while Tamkang University (TKU, 淡江大學) led among private institutions, according to the 1111 Job Bank (1111人力銀行) 2025 survey released on Thursday (Jan. 16).

National Taiwan University (NTU, 台灣大學), ranked second, is the only Taiwanese institution in QS's top 100 global universities for 2025, holding the 68th position. The university offers nearly 8,000 courses each semester, catering to diverse industry needs. 1111 Job bank spokesperson Vivi Hwang (黃若薇) observed that AI's booming trend is pushing schools to innovate and integrate knowledge. The survey targeted decision-makers in companies with hiring authority and collected 2,297 valid responses.

The survey showed that NCKU has become a pivotal force in southern Taiwan's industrial transformation. The university's collaboration with the National Science and Technology Council (國科會) has significantly enhanced its graduates' employability, making it a cornerstone in leading this transformation.

TKU and Fu Jen Catholic University (輔仁大學) continue to leverage their extensive alumni networks, enhancing employment prospects for future graduates. Shih Hsin University (世新大學), known for its communication education, entered the top five private university rankings this year. Taiwan Tech (台灣科技大學) maintained its lead among public technological universities, collaborating with NVIDIA and ASUS to establish an AI Digital Twin Lab, boosting students' skills in AI and digital twin technologies.
