TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA, 經濟部) announced Friday (Jan. 24) that it will deploy over 15,000 personnel daily from CPC Corporation (中油), Taiwan Water Corporation (台水), and Taiwan Power Company (台電) to ensure stable supplies of oil, water, and electricity during the 2025 Lunar New Year. This initiative aims to meet the increased demand during the festive period.

CPC Corporation has prepared natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline, and diesel to maintain stable supplies for domestic needs. Considering the travel demand, major CPC-operated gas stations will remain open for 24 hours, enhancing restroom cleanliness.

Taiwan Water Corporation has devised a "Water Supply Response Plan for the Spring Festival," estimating a peak daily water usage of 9.532 million cubic meters, an increase of 536,000 cubic meters from usual levels. The corporation urges citizens to conserve water resources.

Taiwan Power Company projects peak electricity usage between 22.8 million and 27 million kW, with a reserve capacity rate exceeding 15%, ensuring sufficient power supply. The company advises residents to check their appliance power cords and plugs. Citizens can pay utility bills through the Taiwan Water and Taiwan Power websites, online banking, and four major convenience stores, using QR codes on payment notices for instant payment.

For any issues during the Lunar New Year, citizens can call the 24-hour hotlines: 1912 for CPC, 1911 for Taiwan Power, and 1910 for Taiwan Water, ensuring prompt responses and solutions.
