CHIAYI (TVBS News) — Chiayi County's Culture and Tourism Bureau (嘉義縣文化觀光局) has spotlighted four must-visit Tsou (鄒族) tribal attractions for the upcoming Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival holidays, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in indigenous culture and the natural beauty of Alishan (阿里山). These attractions promise a blend of cultural enrichment and scenic wonder.
The Tsou veoveoana Cultural and Creative Park (鄒族逐鹿文創園區), located at the foot of Alishan, features 6-meter-tall art installations of a black bear and a wild boar. Visitors can also enjoy local cuisine and guided tours of traditional houses, which offer insights into early tribal life.
Meanwhile, the Pungu tribe's Fuzu Art & Market (來吉部落 富足聖山市集) stands out with its wooden market setting in the mountains. It offers Tsou-style barbecue and South African dishes from Hana Village Kitchen (Hana廚房), providing a unique culinary experience.
