TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Starlux Airlines (星宇航空) announced Wednesday (Feb. 5) that it will launch two new routes to Kobe from Taipei and Taichung starting April 18.
The airline has opened bookings immediately, offering travelers a new gateway to explore Japan. Starlux became Taiwan's first national airline to provide direct flights to Kobe, aiming to capitalize on the influx of tourists expected for Expo 2025 in the Kansai region.
The airline will operate the Taipei-Kobe route with three weekly flights and the Taichung-Kobe route with seven weekly flights, utilizing the A321neo aircraft. Starlux has scheduled an additional round-trip flight on April 18 to commemorate the opening of the international terminal at Kobe Airport. This initiative marks a significant milestone as the airline joins passengers in witnessing this historic moment.
Starlux highlights Kobe as a new portal for travelers eager to explore Japan, known for its exotic charm and reputation as a city of sweets. The area offers a wide variety of tourist attractions. Located near Osaka and Kyoto, Kobe is a crucial hub connecting Kansai with the world. Travelers choosing Kobe as their entry point can avoid the bustling crowds of major cities, making for a more relaxed journey.
