TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Shin Yeh Restaurant Group (欣葉國際餐飲) announced on Thursday (Feb. 6) the closure of its Social Place (唐點小聚) brand, with the Taipei Miramar (台北市的美麗華) and Hsinchu Big City (新竹巨城) locations set to close on Feb. 28 and March 2, respectively.

Despite the closures, Shin Yeh plans to continue collaborating with Hong Kong's Tang Palace Group (香港唐宮集團) and will offer some classic dishes as frozen meal kits online and in stores. Shin Yeh intends to replace Social Place at the Miramar location with Shin Yeh Xiao Ju (欣葉小聚), a Bib Gourmand-recommended restaurant, in March.

This new establishment will become the second Taiwanese restaurant in the Dazhi commercial district, following the Michelin-starred Shin Yeh Taiwanese Signature (欣葉鐘菜). In response to the evolving post-pandemic market and changing consumer habits, Shin Yeh plans to refocus its operations on high-demand and well-received brands.

The company introduced Tang Dian Xiao Ju to Taiwan in 2018 in partnership with Tang Palace Group, known for its modern dining ambiance and visually appealing dishes.
