TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Yulon Motor (裕隆集團) CEO announced plans on Friday (Feb. 7) to transform Taiwan's electric vehicle market by boosting market share and creating a resilient automotive value chain.
The announcement came during Yulon Motor's Lunar New Year ceremony, where CEO Yan Chen Li Lian (嚴陳莉蓮) and senior executives emphasized their commitment to this goal.
Yan noted that Yulon Motor had a promising start in the first half of 2024 despite facing challenges later in the year. Looking ahead, she stated that the company will continue to innovate within the automotive value chain and mobility service ecosystem to forge new paths for Taiwan's automotive industry. This year, Yulon Motor will focus on promoting electric vehicles and expanding its Mobility as a Service (MaaS) ecosystem to popularize electric vehicles through diverse channels.
Yulon explained that LUXGEN (納智捷) and Nissan will continue to release new models, while China Motor Corporation (中華汽車) will introduce a self-developed 3.5-ton electric commercial vehicle, completing their product lineup.
In the mobility service ecosystem, Yulon highlighted that Carplus Auto Leasing Corporation (格上租車) and LINE GO will enhance AI digitalization, green energy, and platform strategies, aiming to capture the market with a one-stop mobility integration platform.
Yulon noted that YES!LIFE (裕隆城) in Xindian District (新店) achieved NT$5.5 billion in revenue and over 10 million visits in its first year of operation in 2024. The company aims to surpass NT$5.7 billion in revenue this year.
