TAIPEI (TVBS News) — South Korean singer DJ Koo (具俊曄) expressed his enduring love for his late wife, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu (大S), on Saturday (Feb. 8), saying he would love her forever as today also marked as their third wedding anniversary.
Koo's Instagram post, filled with longing, drew supportive comments from online users urging him to stay strong and take care of himself. Many continue to rally around Koo, offering condolences and encouragement.
Hsu and Koo rekindled their romance in 2021 after Hsu's divorce from Wang Xiaofei (汪小菲). They had dated over 20 years ago but parted ways due to career challenges. The couple registered their marriage in South Korea on Feb. 8, 2022, and later in Taiwan on March 28, 2022
Hsu passed away on Feb. 2 in Tokyo, Japan, at 48, due to pneumonia complications from the flu. Her sudden death shifted public attention to her estate distribution. Koo announced he would relinquish his inheritance share to Hsu's mother, and ensure legal protection for Hsu's children on Thursday.
Her role in the 2001 hit drama "Meteor Garden" (流星花園) catapulted her to stardom across Asia, earning her a Golden Bell Award (金鐘獎) nomination and recognition in countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.
