TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taipei International Book Exhibition (TiBE, 台北國際書展) will close its doors Sunday (Feb. 8), drawing to an end a week-long celebration of literature and culture. Vice Premier Cheng Li-chiun (鄭麗君) spent more than three hours exploring the exhibition Friday, immersing herself in a diverse collection of 97 books spanning literature, comics, art, and language.

Cheng shared her experience on Facebook late Friday, expressing her excitement about this year's theme, "Follow Your Fancy in Reading." She described each book as an invitation to explore a new universe, making it difficult to stop browsing. She also enjoyed listening to authors discuss their works, losing track of time amid the vibrant atmosphere.

Since taking on the role of vice premier, Cheng has found less time to visit bookstores. She seized the opportunity to purchase nearly 100 books at the exhibition. Cheng encouraged everyone to visit the Taipei International Book Exhibition, describing the experience as an irresistible reading adventure and likening each book encounter to meeting a new friend.

Cheng also revealed her book list, which includes titles such as "Art Can Purify the Soul" (江賢二:以美淨化人心), "Colors of You" (汝色), and "Railway Age" (他們的鐵道時代:七位鐵道職人的生命故事).
