TAIPEI (TVBS News) — British semiconductor design giant Arm will hold a high-profile executive session in Taipei on May 19, just one day before the opening of COMPUTEX 2025, according to an announcement Tuesday (April 29) by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA, 外貿協會), Taiwan's premier trade promotion organization. Chris Bergey, Arm's senior vice president and general manager of the client line of business, will headline the event with a keynote address titled "From Cloud to Edge: Advancing AI on Arm, Together."

Artificial intelligence now stands as a fundamental force reshaping industries worldwide, transforming how businesses operate and societies function. Technology executives and strategic decision-makers face unprecedented pressure as their current technology choices carry far-reaching implications. Their deliberations on scalable computing architectures—weighing critical trade-offs between computational efficiency, security protocols, and accessibility frameworks—will ultimately chart the course for technological evolution with profound economic and social consequences for generations to come.

Arm has positioned itself at the forefront of artificial intelligence innovation through strategic alliances with technology partners worldwide. At the upcoming Taipei session, company representatives will outline how the firm orchestrates technological integration across its expansive ecosystem — spanning chip architecture design, software development frameworks, and both cloud and edge computing platforms. These collaborative efforts, according to the announcement, are directed toward establishing the technological foundation that will power the next wave of AI-driven user experiences and applications.

The company's presence at COMPUTEX will extend beyond the executive session, with James McNiven, Arm's vice president of product management for client business, scheduled to present at the "Generative AI Evolution" forum on May 21. This separate industry discussion will take place at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (南港展覽館), a major convention facility in eastern Taipei. McNiven's presentation, titled "The Scalability of Intelligence: What the Future of AI Demands," will explore the infrastructure requirements and technological challenges facing artificial intelligence development. ★
