TAIPEI (TVBS News) — In a pioneering venture that redefines luxury wedding experiences, LDC Hotels & Resorts (雲品國際酒店), a premier hospitality group in Taiwan, unveiled a first-of-its-kind partnership Tuesday (May 13) with Taiwan Railway (台鐵), the island's national rail service. The collaboration will introduce what they claim is the world's first dedicated wedding train, providing couples an extraordinary matrimonial setting aboard the premium "Future — The Moving Kitchen" (鳴日廚房) train service.

Speaking at the announcement event, Ting Yuan-wei (丁原偉), general manager of LDC Hotels & Resorts, observed that despite consistent wedding spending patterns, contemporary couples increasingly seek distinctive celebration formats. Ting emphasized the railway wedding concept as a vehicle for creating exceptional matrimonial experiences and enduring memories. The gastronomic dimension will be overseen by chefs from Palais de Chine (君品酒店), one of Taiwan's Michelin-recognized luxury hotels, who have crafted specialized menus fusing Taiwanese ingredients with international techniques, available in three adaptable configurations accommodating parties of up to 50 attendees.

This rolling celebration comes with a premium price tag, beginning at NT$600,000 (US$19,777) per reservation. The matrimonial excursion commences at Taipei's Nangang Station (南港站), a major transportation hub in the capital's eastern district, and features a scheduled 2.5-hour pause in Hualien, a picturesque coastal city, allowing for professional photography and recreational activities. The complete railway nuptial experience spans 8.5 hours, literally creating what the company describes as a "wedding journey in motion." Industry observers suggest this pioneering concept could establish new benchmarks for bespoke luxury weddings. ★
