TAIPEI (TVBS News) — EVA Air (長榮航空), one of Taiwan's leading international carriers, delivered a generous three-month mid-year bonus to its employees, with payments processed from Friday through Monday (June 30). The airline cited exceptional profit performance last year as the driving force behind the substantial bonus, emphasizing that the financial success stemmed from the dedication and collaborative efforts of its entire workforce. Company officials confirmed the bonus distribution complies with all applicable regulations and corporate governance guidelines.

Employees at EVA Air's affiliated companies also benefited from the carrier's exceptional performance. Staff at Evergreen Airline Services Corp (長榮航勤) and Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp (EGAT, 長榮航太) received one-month bonuses, with payments deposited on June 27 and June 30. The mid-year compensation comes after the unprecedented seven-month year-end bonus distributed last year, further underscoring the airline group's remarkable financial trajectory. Financial records show EVA Air achieved consolidated revenue of NT$18.478 billion (approximately US$635.4 million) in April alone, representing the strongest April performance in the company's operating history.

The airline's April financial breakdown reveals passenger services generated NT$12.835 billion (about US$441.3 million), while cargo operations contributed NT$4.436 billion (approximately US$152.5 million) to the bottom line. These impressive figures illustrate the aviation industry's vigorous post-pandemic recovery trajectory in both market segments. Industry analysts note that EVA Air's balanced revenue streams between passenger and freight services position the carrier favorably for sustained growth amid increasing regional competition and evolving travel patterns across Asia. The numbers reflect a complete recovery and signal promising prospects for Taiwan's aviation sector, according to a company spokesperson. ◼
