The weather service has warned that Francisco and Severe Tropical Storm CO-MAY might create the dangerous Fujiwhara effect, causing both storm systems to circle each other counterclockwise. Meteorologist Wu Sheng-yu (吳聖宇) explained that although the weakening storm systems of Fengshen and Sinlaku are drawing closer together, they will not merge into a new typhoon formation.
