TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Fubon Sports & Entertainment Co., Ltd. (富邦育樂) announced a record-breaking selection of 10 trainees for the Fubon Angels cheerleading team Thursday (July 31), associated with the Fubon Guardians baseball team (富邦悍將) and Fubon Braves basketball team (富邦勇士). The competitive selection process launched in April attracted over 800 applicants and involved three rigorous stages of evaluation. This unprecedented recruitment represents the largest cheerleading trainee class in the company's history.
Chen Chao-ju (陳昭如), general manager of Fubon Sports & Entertainment, emphasized that the company pioneered Taiwan's domestic cheerleading trainee system in 2021, successfully nurturing many outstanding members. The organization will continue deepening talent development and promoting cross-industry collaboration across Taiwan's entertainment landscape. The diverse backgrounds of the new trainees include dance instructors, commercial actors, and professional basketball cheerleaders, showcasing their exceptional potential and natural charisma.
The Fubon Angels mini team has undergone intensive group training led by current members since late June. The comprehensive program covers group dance choreography, cheerleading chants, and professional styling techniques for game-day performances. This year's selection collaborated with South Korea's 3Y CORPORATION to create a reality show, "2025 Fubon Angels mini Auditions," which will air on YouTube. The 10 trainees will make their debut at the Xinzhuang (新莊) home stadium starting Aug. 12, participating in the second half of the season and year-end Fubon Braves home games to build cross-league experience. ◼
