TAIPEI (TVBS News) — McDonald's Taiwan launched TinyTAN Blind Box collectibles Wednesday (Oct. 8), drawing large crowds of BTS fans eager to purchase the new merchandise. The blind boxes featuring characters based on the seven South Korean boy band members went on sale at 10:30 a.m. Fans lined up before opening to secure the limited collectibles.
Each TinyTAN Blind Box contains a figurine dressed in McDonald's outfits and a double-sided character card for collecting or trading. Characters possess distinct personalities derived from BTS members' real-life traits, forming a unique narrative universe together. The "Magic Door" concept allows TinyTAN to cross between reality and fantasy for enchanting adventures.
Customers purchase blind boxes for an additional NT$129 (around US$4.30) with any value meal, limited to one per meal and four per transaction. The promotion includes a digital experience where scanning QR codes allows fans to enter TinyTAN's digital world and interact with characters.
