TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwanese production company D-DAY Pictures (發起日影視) won second place at the inaugural The Dor Awards with their AI short film "TORII" (鳥居TORII) on Tuesday (Oct. 28). Director Tseng Chin-gi (曾敬懿) completed the supernatural horror film about American tourists encountering paranormal events in Japan within one week. The achievement marks a breakthrough for Taiwan's AI film industry on the international stage.

"TORII" secured fourth place in the annual AI horror film competition hosted by global platform Curious Refuge. Director Tseng Chin-gi reported approximately 100-200 entries competed in the contest.
