TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) arrived in Tainan Friday (Nov. 7) afternoon, attracting crowds of fans as he prepares to visit Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC, 台積電) facilities. The tech executive will tour TSMC's 3-nanometer plant and attend the company's sports day, emphasizing TSMC's critical contributions to Nvidia's global success.

Huang will spend five hours in Tainan before traveling to Taipei, completing a day-and-a-half Taiwan visit. The CEO expressed eagerness to return to the United States after three weeks abroad, citing missing his dogs. He confirmed no planned meetings with Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) and cannot visit night markets due to scheduling constraints.

Huang addressed Nvidia's Taiwan headquarters expansion, citing insufficient space in their current Taipei office and hopes to resolve land acquisition issues. The CEO confirmed no ongoing Blackwell chip discussions with Chinese or U.S. officials, emphasizing no export plans to China. He praised China's AI advancement, noting 50% of global AI researchers work there, urging accelerated U.S. competitive growth. ◼
