TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration (東部海岸國家風景區管理處) launched its new AI-powered smart service, "Camera-kun" (鏡頭君), on Wednesday (Nov. 19). This service will be available year-round and offers multilingual travel consultation in Chinese, English, and Japanese, enhancing the travel experience for visitors to Taiwan's scenic East Coast.
"Camera-kun" integrates AI deep learning with a comprehensive travel database for Hualien and Taitung, real-time weather updates, disaster alerts, Google Maps reviews, and government tourism information. This integration enables tourists to access current conditions at various attractions easily. The administration plans to expand language options to cater to tourists from different nationalities, ensuring a more inclusive service.
"Camera-kun" also features personalized characters, bringing a unique touch to its service. Characters like "Lone Wolf" at Sansiiantai (三仙台) and "Passionate Photographer" at Jinzun (金樽) respond with distinct personalities, creating a sense of human companionship. The administration has also introduced the "East Coast Camera-kun Stamp Collection Mission," where visitors can participate through the "East Coast PWA Mobile Travel Service" platform, earning coins to redeem rewards such as LINE POINTS and digital convenience store vouchers.
