TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Changhua County Government announced on Thursday (March 4) that the county will launch a comprehensive health screening event on April 11 in Yongjing Township (永靖鄉). The event aims to promote early detection and treatment to safeguard public health, and will kick off at Yongjing Industrial High School (永靖高工).
The county has organized 31 sessions across 26 towns, enabling residents to complete multiple important health checks close to home. Participants who complete a cancer screening will receive a NT$100 gift voucher. The health check activities, which form the first phase, will include adult health checks, high-density lipoprotein tests, and hepatitis B surface antigen screenings.
Two weeks after the event, the second phase will invite specialists to explain the reports on-site and provide health education, referral consultations, breast cancer screenings, and fitness assessments. The county government stated that residents of Changhua County aged 40 and above who meet the adult health check criteria and one cancer screening qualification can register to participate. Women aged 30 and above who have not had a Pap smear in over three years or have never had one can also register at local health offices.
Residents can find the schedule for each session on the Changhua County Public Health Bureau's (彰化縣衛生局) website. The county government highlighted the continuation of the voucher incentive program, which runs through Dec. 31, encouraging residents to actively participate in screenings for more rewards.
