TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan Mobile (台灣大哥大) launched Tesla Powerwall (智慧儲能) home battery systems and Taiwan Mobility (智慧移動網) services at a Taipei pre-exhibition event on Tuesday (March 10). The telecommunications giant, now certified as an official Tesla Powerwall installer, aims to boost energy autonomy for households and small to medium enterprises through customized, one-stop services. The initiatives target Taiwan's smart city energy transformation efforts.
Taiwan Mobility integrates MyCharge, USPACE, and WeMo to create a "park and charge" experience that has cut carbon emissions by nearly 800,000 metric tons since its launch. MyCharge, partnering with CARPLUS Charging Service, now covers major malls, hotels, and commercial complexes across Taiwan with expanded charging infrastructure. The service's integration with the LINE GO platform aims to enhance the electric vehicle charging experience for Taiwan's growing EV user base.
USPACE, which has invested in smart mobility since 2022, acquired Japan's Nokisaki (軒先) in 2024 to expand its regional presence. The platform has attracted over 2 million members and formed partnerships with more than 1,000 parking facilities, creating a leading smart parking network in Asia. USPACE Premium's zero percent subscription cancellation rate demonstrates its status as essential infrastructure for urban mobility.
WeMo has attracted 1.5 million users since 2024, logging nearly 150 million kilometers and cutting carbon emissions by over 5.5 million kilograms across five major cities and islands. The company plans to deploy 8,000 new WeMo Fly scooters, targeting 100,000 shared scooters by 2035 using AIoT technology for improved efficiency. Taiwan Mobile's "Smart Empowerment, Green Future" exhibition runs March 17-20 in Taipei and March 20-22 in Kaohsiung. ◼
