TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Fubon Guardians (富邦悍將隊), a team in Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League, announced Friday (March 13) seven themed events for the first half of the season, beginning with the BLUE POWER opening game at Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium (新莊棒球場) on April 3-4. The team aims to boost fan engagement through creative themes and stadium improvements.

Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium underwent significant offseason upgrades, including updated seating in the infield area and new sections B12 and B13 offering closer views of the Guardians' bullpen practice. Last year's popular outfield cheer section is now the "Outfield Hot Zone," located in front of the fourth row of sections G8 and G9, featuring support from the Fubon Angels cheerleaders**, the team's popular dance squad**.

The Guardians will host the "ONE FOR ALL Lin Che-hsuan (林哲瑄) Retirement Theme Day" on Saturday and Sunday (April 5 and 6), with Lin's final career game on Saturday (April 5) and his retirement ceremony the following day. The "Lu Come Lu Happy" event on Saturday and Sunday (April 18 and 19) will transform the stadium into a large amusement park in collaboration with the popular character LuLu the Piggy (罐頭豬LULU).

The team scheduled the "LOVING CUPID" theme day on Saturday and Sunday (May 9 and 10), and the "Night Market Feast" on Saturday and Sunday (May 16 and 17), which will showcase Taiwanese culture at the ballpark. The "G!POP Music Festival" will take place at Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋), Taiwan's largest indoor stadium, on Saturday and Sunday (May 30 and 31), featuring several Korean artists.

Tickets for the 27 Xinzhuang home games go on sale for priority booking on Tuesday (March 17), with general sales opening at 12:30 p.m. on Friday (March 20). The themed events promise a vibrant and engaging baseball season for fans eager to experience the creative programming and stadium upgrades firsthand. ◼
