TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) confirmed allegations of sexual harassment against three former diplomats on Tuesday (Oct. 17).

Speaking in a press conference, MOFA spokesperson Jeff Y.J. Liu revealed the findings of the ministry's sexual harassment complaints committee.

Former envoy to the Philippines, Michael Hsu, received a major demerit. Another diplomat, identified only as Huang, received a demerit.

As for the former representative to Thailand, Chuang Suo-hang, who is a political appointee, the results have been forwarded to the Control Yuan for further action.

Hsu faced accusations in June for allegedly hugging and kissing a Filipino female secretary inappropriately at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines.

The Presidential Office announced Chuang's resignation on June 21, later confirming that he stepped down due to allegations of inappropriately touching his female secretary's hands.

A diplomat, surnamed Huang, was accused by a former diplomatic staff member of sending inappropriate photos such as him in swimming trunks and texts on multiple occasions.
