TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The East Asia Super League (EASL) kicked off in October with two-time P. LEAGUE+ champions Taipei Fubon Braves making its debut for the second regular season of the games. Meanwhile, the New Taipei Kings is gearing up for its inaugural match against South Korea's powerhouse, the Seoul SK Knights, on Wednesday (Nov. 8).

Basketball fans eagerly anticipate the performance of the Lin brothers, Jeremy and Joseph, who have confirmed their debut in the EASL opening game. Excitement runs high for this rare collaborative match as fans are thrilled to see the brothers shine for a hopeful EASL first win.

Jeremy Lin, former NBA star, shared his ambitions on Oct. 25, saying, "The coach gave us a few goals. The biggest two are certainly to win the PLG and the EASL championships."

New Taipei Kings' Manager James Mao has expressed confidence in the team's readiness for their first matchup against the dominant SK Knights, which has snatched multiple victories in the Korena Basketball League (KBL) over the years. Nonetheless, Mao aims high for this season, setting eyes on the championship.

To bolster team spirits, the New Taipei Kings have recently signed a promising reinforcement, 23-year-old Christian Anigwe. Despite lacking professional experience, high expectations fall on Anigwe for his vitality, which may potentially empower the team's performance.
