TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Chinese President Xi Jinping reiterated his stance to U.S. President Joe Biden regarding the sensitive "Taiwan issue" on Wednesday (Nov. 15).

Xi once again pressed the U.S. for concrete actions reflecting its non-support of Taiwan independence, halting arms supply to Taiwan, and being supportive of China's peaceful reunification.

The presidents of the U.S. and China conversed for 2.5 hours at the Filoli Estate in northern San Francisco. The discussions revolved around China-U.S. relations, economic and trade issues, and global scenarios, China's state media CCTV News reported.

Xi presented the U.S. with two choices, the report revealed.

One is strengthening unity, working together to face global challenges, and promoting world security and prosperity.

The alternative is to retain a zero-sum mentality, instigating confrontations and sparking turmoil, leading the world to instability and division.

The Chinese President pointed out that looking at U.S.-China relations in a global context, it is unrealistic for any avoidance of engagements. He added that believing either will change their ways is inconceivable.

Xi believes that the detrimental effects of conflicts are unmanageable for any party involved.

The CCP leader pointed out that China's continuous development promotes comprehensive rejuvenation through Chinese-style modernization without exporting its ideologies or plans to overthrow or replace the U.S.

He emphasized that the U.S. should not intend to suppress and contain China's ambitions.
