TAIPEI (TVBS News) — President Tsai Ing-wen expressed gratitude Monday (Nov. 20) to Taiwan's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) delegation led by Morris Chang, offering thanks for Chang's efforts in conveying her four critical messages to all APEC member participants.

During her meeting with the delegation on Nov. 21, President Tsai emphasized the government's commitment to continuing its efforts to adjust Taiwan's industrial structure and quality. She also talked about leveraging Taiwan's advantages to perpetuate regional developmental progress.

President Tsai thanked Chang for attending this pivotal economic and trade cooperation forum in the Asia-Pacific region, enabling Taiwan to interact and play a key and vital role internationally.

Tsai highlighted Chang's conversations with foreign dignitaries, including U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The president stated these interactions would bolster future bilateral cooperation and exchange.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to represent Taiwan at the conference, Chang reported this year's APEC economic leaders' meeting covered many technology-related topics. He found these discussions beneficial, feeling his life's work had been fruitful. He also shared about the goodwill expressed by leaders and officials in their interactions with him.
