CHANGHUA (TVBS News) — A barber in Changhua has caused a stir by posting a video on Facebook, showing him shaving an image of Taiwan People's Party (TPP) presidential candidate Ko Wen-je into a client's hair. The detailed design, complete with the contours of Ko's face, nose, eyes, glasses, suit, and tie, prompted lively online discussions.

The client had booked his appointment to get this distinctive cut as part of getting ready to attend an election rally for Ko Wen-je. However, rules prohibit the display of items related to any candidate within a polling station. Therefore, the Changhua County Election Commission has advised this ardent supporter to cover his unique hairdo, perhaps with a cap, to vote.

In addition to this seemingly radical form of support for a presidential candidate, the news has sparked discussions about the lengths that other supporters are going to for their preferred candidates. This includes fans of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) presidential candidate, Lai Ching-te, and the Kuomintang (KMT) presidential candidate, Hou Yu-ih.

For instance, a female enthusiast of Lai Ching-te recently surprised him with a sudden kiss while taking a photo. Meanwhile, those supporting Hou Yu-ih are expressing their passion for their candidate by waving the national flag at his events. The hairstyle news provides another clear example of how Taiwanese citizens are enthusiastically participating in these elections, showcasing their support in diverse and creative ways.
