TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an on Monday (March. 4) indicated he will gather cross-bureau departments for a review of reported issues at the Taipei Dome, following public complaints of water leakages and unclear signage leading to confusion in the traffic flow of attendees.

Over the past weekend, the Dome held an exhibition game featuring the Yomiuri Giants, attracting more than 60,000 baseball fans within two days; however, multiple problems at the venue sparked criticism from city councilors, who urged the Taipei City Government to proactively investigate.

"The Taipei Dome is a Build–operate–transfer (BOT) project, with Farglory Group already conducting subsequent operations and ticket sales activities" Chiang stressed.

"The role of the city government would be to continue assisting and supervising, and it will require that future event organizers and Farglory Group implement all preparatory tasks ahead of time," he added.

Farglory Group's Spokesperson Jacky Yang admitted, "We had not taken into consideration the fact that fans, once they found their seats, would go around the edge of the field to take pictures at that time."

"We have a joint group with the city government, and the head of the bureau to handle it promptly," Yang shared.

When asked if he was satisfied with the Dome's operations over the weekend, Chiang responded indirectly by stressing the city government will conduct "an overall review."
