TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) invited Taiwan People's Party (TPP) Chairman Ko Wen-je (民眾黨主席柯文哲) to dinner on Tuesday (June 18) at the Legislative Yuan's "Kang Yuan Restaurant" (立法院康園餐廳), but both kept details of the conversation under wraps.

The dinner, lasting approximately two and a half hours, was also attended by TPP caucus convener Huang Kuo-chang (黃國昌) and other legislators. However, TPP's deputy convener, Huang Shan-shan (黃珊珊), was noticeably absent among the invited eight legislators.

TPP Legislator Chang Chi-kai (張啓楷) described the atmosphere as relaxed, stating no discussion took place on upcoming legislative agendas, such as the "Act Governing the Allocation of Government Revenues and Expenditures" and the Executive Yuan's asking for reconsideration toward the congressional power amendments.

Upon leaving the restaurant, Ko and Huang dodged media inquiries about the Executive Yuan's reconsideration request. The TPP chairman simply responded, "Please ask the convener about it," before briskly departing.

Han, along with Legislative Yuan Vice President Johnny Chiang (江啟臣), left the restaurant after Ko and others. In response to media questions, Han only said, "Thank you, I will report back to everyone later."

It is understood that Han's dinner meeting aimed to mend cross-party relationships through dining with legislators from various parties, hoping for harmony in future legislative sessions following congressional reform amendments.
