TAIPEI (TVBS News) — SEMICON Taiwan, the annual semiconductor exhibition, opened Wednesday (Sept. 4), highlighting cutting-edge technologies. Kenmec Mechanical Engineering Co. (廣運) debuted its use of the NVIDIA Omniverse platform and NVIDIA L40S GPUs. According to Kenmec Executive Vice President Jonas Ko (柯智鈞), automation orders are expected to reach a record NT$6 billion this year.

Kenmec displayed its Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) and AI fleet management solutions on the opening day, while Ko highlighted the transformation from 2D and 3D simulations to AI-driven models, which helps clients visualize outcomes and reduces setup time.

In late July, Kenmec signed an NVIDIA Partner Network (NPN) agreement, becoming a solution integration partner. This partnership will foster further collaboration between the companies. Kenmec's core business includes customized factory automation equipment, automated storage systems, e-commerce logistics centers, robotics applications, and semiconductor automation equipment. The company also undertakes large public projects, such as the baggage handling system at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (桃園機場).

Kenmec is also expanding its international operations with new bases in Vietnam and Thailand. Ko revealed that the baggage handling system for Taoyuan Airport's Terminal 3 is valued at NT$2.3 billion, with one-sixth of the revenue to be recognized in Q4.

Kenmec's future development plans include automation, smart manufacturing logistics, unmanned transport, semiconductor equipment, and laser-related applications.
