TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The "National Day Preparation Committee" (國慶籌備委員會) announced on Friday (Oct. 4) that this year's Double Ten National Day celebrations will feature a collaborative performance of the national anthem.

Veterans Ou Yang-chun (歐陽鈞), Lan Yu-chang (藍玉璋), and Wang Hua-yueh (王華嶽), who fought in the Battle of Guningtou (古寧頭戰役), will join the "Nibun Chorus" (尼布恩合唱團), along with students from several schools to sing the anthem.

In a press conference earlier that day, the committee detailed plans for the National Day program, which includes three segments: the opening, the main ceremony, and thematic performances.

The opening act will showcase flybys of the Brave Eagle jet trainers in a formation. Following this, the Taipei First Girls High School (北一女中) marching band, honor guards, and color guard will perform to demonstrate youthful energy and confidence.

The highlight of the annual National Day event is Taiwan's Combined Military Band and Honor Guard, which will feature precision rifle drills and band formations, symbolizing the determination to defend the homeland.

Concluding the prelude activities, a dynamic show titled "Dancing Youth, Shaking the World" (舞動青春 撼動世界) will feature military inflatables, and members from the Chinese Professional Baseball League (中華職棒), and ALBERT Cheerleading (愛伯特啦啦隊) team.

Additionally, the National Day evening gala will take place on Oct. 5 at the Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋), and fireworks will be set for Oct. 10 in Yunlin County (雲林縣).
