TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The latest My Formosa poll (美麗島電子報) released on Monday (Oct. 28) revealed that President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) maintaining a trust level of 54%, with a slight increase in both trust and distrust percentages compared to the previous month.
The survey indicated that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP, 民進黨) leads in favorability, with 46.7% of respondents expressing positive sentiments. However, this marks a 2.4 percentage point decrease from last month. Conversely, 42.4% of respondents report unfavorable views, a 1.1 percentage point rise, indicating fluctuating public opinion.
Meanwhile, the Kuomintang (KMT, 國民黨), Taiwan's largest opposition party, sees an increase in favorability to 39.5%, up by 2.1 percentage points. Unfavorable opinions towards the KMT have decreased by 5.4 percentage points, now standing at 45.9%.
The Taiwan People's Party (TPP, 民眾黨) faces challenges, with only 25.7% favorability and a significant 57.5% expressing unfavorable views.
The poll, conducted from Oct. 22 to Oct. 24, surveyed 1,077 individuals aged 20 and above from Taiwan's 22 counties and cities using computer-assisted telephone interviews.
