TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Yoshi Bakery (陳耀訓蛋黃酥), renowned for its luxurious salted egg yolk pastries, announced on Tuesday (Nov. 5) the pre-order date for the Lunar New Year season will open on Nov. 19, with a new historical high price at NT$900 for 8 pastries. Since its launch in 2019, Yoshi Bakery's pastries have been a sought-after item, available only during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year.

The bakery's announcement addressed consumer feedback, stating some found the 10-piece box excessive for smaller households. Hence, this year's box size was reduced from 10 to 8 pastries. But, prices were adjusted from NT$98 to NT112.5 each to reflect increased raw material costs.

Starting at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 19, customers can place their orders online, with a limit of five boxes per person. The pickup period spans from Dec. 1, 2024, to Jan. 27, 2025. Fans have already flooded social media with eagerness to place orders after today's announcement.
