TAIPEI (TVBS News) — McDonald's Taiwan (台灣麥當勞) announced on Monday (Nov. 18) that it will adjust prices for some products starting Wednesday midnight, the average price hike is 2.4%, marking the seventh consecutive year of price increases.

The company stated that main meals will see an increase of up to NT$3. Breakfast items will rise by NT$2, and select beverages and snacks will also see a price adjustment of NT$2 to NT$3.The price changes will affect 18 main meal options and 14 breakfast items.

 

Snacks, including 4-piece McNuggets, small-size corn soup, and large ice cream cones, will increase by NT$2, while a single McCrispy chicken leg and hamburgers will go up by NT$3. Prices for 13 other products, such as medium fries and ice cream cones, will remain unchanged. Beverages priced at NT$41 and above will increase by NT$2.

In a similar move, Pizza Hut (必勝客) has quietly raised prices for its popular pizzas by up to NT$40. The company confirmed that global inflation has led to fluctuations in costs for raw materials, ingredients, labor, and utilities. After careful evaluation, they have adjusted prices for some products, although more than 80% of their items will keep their current prices. The overall average increase for Pizza Hut is 2.5%.
