KAOHSIUNG (TVBS News) — The Kaohsiung City Government will run the 2025 Kaohsiung Wonderland (高雄燈會高雄冬日遊樂園), themed "Chiikawa" (吉伊卡哇), in Love River Bay (愛河灣) and Piers 16-18 until Feb. 16 (Sun.). The city has already set up Chiikawa bus stops and 400 streetlamp flags to promote the event.
Kaohsiung's (觀光局) plans to release more Chiikawa-themed merchandise and organize related activities. In collaboration with Taiwan International Ports Corporation (台灣港務公司), Piers 16-18 will transform into a pier amusement park with inflatable structures, a ball pit, a carousel, and a mini train.
Throughout the festival, Kaohsiung Music Center (高雄流行音樂中心) and Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal (高雄港旅運中心) will host dazzling light shows. To ensure smooth traffic flow, authorities has imposed traffic controls around Love River Bay daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and urge the public to use public transportation.
As the festival approaches, residents and visitors can anticipate a vibrant lineup of activities and attractions. The city aims to offer a memorable experience that celebrates the Chiikawa theme, encouraging participation from the community and tourists alike.
