Song concluded a series of engagements in Shenzhen and Xiamen from Jan. 21 to 23. The trip aimed to foster cross-strait relations by meeting with Taiwanese business representatives and discussing economic cooperation. The events, attended by nearly 400 representatives, highlighted the importance of pursuing peace and harmony between the two regions, according to organizers.

In Xiamen, Song attended the "Fortune and Happiness Across the Strait" (福見兩岸•利厚新春) event, where he joined Taiwanese business representatives and Kinmen residents in experiencing Minnan folk customs. Song emphasized the significance of Chinese President Xi Jinping's (習近平) New Year message in guiding cross-strait relations, stating that the pursuit of peace, harmony, and a good life is the foundation for the development of cross-strait relations.

Song also urged adherence to the "one-China" principle and the "1992 consensus," opposing Taiwan independence and promoting peaceful development. Participants proposed accelerating the transformation and upgrading of Taiwanese enterprises and sharing opportunities from the Belt and Road Initiative. They expressed their commitment to rooting their development on the mainland and contributing to cross-strait economic cooperation and peace.

The meetings underscored the mutual interest in strengthening economic ties and maintaining stability in the Taiwan Strait, setting a collaborative tone for future engagements.
