TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The global premiere of the film "Blind Love" (失明), produced by Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin (林依晨), took place in the Netherlands on Feb. 6 and 7 after earning a spot in the 54th Tiger Competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
Lin shared her excitement at the event, stating that watching the film with an audience and observing their emotional reactions was a fascinating experience. Director Julian Chou (周美豫), and actors Wu Ke-xi (吳可熙) and Jimmy Liu (劉敬) also attended.
The film, adapted from an award-winning novel by Essay Liu (劉梓潔), delves into the complexities of familial and same-sex relationships within an ostensibly perfect family. Wu Ke-xi and Jimmy Liu's on-screen chemistry captivated the audience, filling the venue with laughter.
This is director Chou's second feature film. It has garnered significant recognition, including selection for the FPP in 2020 and WIP in 2024 at the Golden Horse Film Project Promotion. Last year, it also won the Taipei Film Awards for Best Screenplay.
