TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC, 台積電) Chairman C.C. Wei (魏哲家) assured shareholders on Tuesday (June 3) that the company can handle any cost increases from green energy. The statement came as Wei hosted his first shareholder meeting, where he shared insights into the company's financial health and prospects.

Wei addressed concerns about rising electricity prices due to green energy initiatives. He emphasized TSMC's ability to absorb the added costs. Wei highlighted the company's commitment to using 100% green energy domestically and internationally. He urged shareholders to support TSMC's environmental efforts.

Wei reiterated TSMC's dedication to maximizing green energy use. He pledged the company's support for developing the green energy sector and promised to maintain close ties with the government to enhance environmental contributions. As TSMC continues its environmental initiatives, stakeholders will likely watch closely how these commitments impact its operations and financial performance.
