TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The highly anticipated Taiwanese TV series "Zero Day Attack" (零日攻擊) will soon premier in Japan and the U.S., expanding its reach internationally. The show is the first to present a fictional dramatization of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
Following the premiere in Tokyo, the first three episodes will be released on Amazon Prime Video in Japan on Aug. 15, the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Afterward, the series will air simultaneously in Japan and Taiwan. In September, producers also intend to hold another premiere in Washington, D.C., to continue building its global visibility.
Following the debut of "Zero Day Attack" on Aug. 2, unauthorized copies of the show have surfaced online. The production company, Zero Day Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd. (零日文創股份有限公司), announced plans to file criminal charges and seek civil damages against those responsible for the piracy. They emphasized their dedication to protecting intellectual property rights.
The show will feature 10 episodes created by 10 different directors. Since its debut, the show has drawn strong reactions from viewers and politicians.
