TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's metal band Flesh Juicer (血肉果汁機) performs at South Korea's prestigious Busan Rock Festival (釜山國際搖滾音樂節) from Friday through Sunday (Sept. 26-28). The performance showcases Taiwan's vibrant metal scene alongside iconic acts including Suede, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Babymetal. The Taipei Music Center (台北流行音樂中心), Taiwan's premier music venue, orchestrated this international collaboration to elevate Taiwan's global musical presence.

The Busan Rock Festival, established in 1999, represents South Korea's premier rock music celebration and cultural institution. Flesh Juicer plans to introduce Taiwanese street culture to South Korean audiences while exploring potential artistic collaborations. The band aims to demonstrate Taiwan's distinctive musical character alongside internationally renowned acts on this prestigious platform.

Flesh Juicer's previous JAM JAM ASIA festival performance attracted South Korean music media attention, including an interview invitation from Age of Band. Kay Huang (黃韻玲), chairwoman of the Taipei Music Center, emphasized that the band's performance enhances Taiwanese music's international visibility. The collaboration deepens cultural partnerships between Taiwan's premier music institution and Busan's festival organizers.

A South Korean band recommended by the Busan Rock Festival will visit Taiwan in December, strengthening bilateral cultural exchanges. Taiwan's music scene continues building international momentum, creating promising opportunities for both artists and audiences. These collaborative initiatives demonstrate Taiwan's growing influence in Asia's contemporary music landscape. ◼
